At Sitescapes, we have built our soft landscaping services to help construction and house building companies reduce time and cost while providing the skill and expertise that you would traditionally expect within our industry.
With over 25 years of experience working within the commercial soft landscaping industry, we’ll be supporting you on a wide range of landscaping services. From garden design, contractual work, grounds maintenance or even just advice on your landscape construction – we’ll work closely with you, offering help and support to your team on all your landscaping requirements.
Types of soft landscaping services we provide
We advise from the outset that we are a soft landscaping company also offering contractor work. We’ve heard about too many soft landscaping contractors out there that will over-promise and overcharge. We know what we’re good at and we deliver on our promise.
All types of soft landscaping services (anything you can plant or maintain)
We’re fully accredited
Having worked on construction projects of all shapes and sizes, we know the high standards that developers and client relationship managers like yourself come to expect.
All staff have CSCS cards and gold carded CSCS cards for site supervisors. All staff have been trained in first aid, manual lifting and an asbestos awareness course.
On all housing development and other commercial construction sites, you’ll be liaising with our own HR & Health and Safety Advisor on all aspects of the build. We’ve found that offering this type of support can improve process, productivity and remove paperwork delays. Allowing us to get on with producing stunning results that you want from a garden landscape contractor.
What is soft landscaping?
Soft landscaping is the horticultural and planting elements of a garden or landscape. It generally includes turf, grasses, perennials, shrubs, trees, and other plants. Landscape contractors install soft landscaping and maintain it by either landscape professionals or home gardeners.
How are your contracts managed?
All projects have a dedicated site manager and you’ll have access to our HR & H&S team as part on any project undertaken
Do you use subcontractors?
We do not use sub-contractors. By utilising our own workforce, we can respond to client needs quickly and effectively. We have a 29 strong, experienced workforce of soft landscapers who are dedicated, knowledgeable and hardworking.
What’s your environmental impact?
At sitescapes, we are passionate about making a difference in the world. We believe the success of sitescapes is not just driven by profit, but by the positive impact, we can have. We search for non-hazardous weedkilling solutions, we are fully recyclable with all waste, from plastic pots to shredding and mulching grass cuttings and pruned shrubs and trees. In 2021 all our new vans will be run by biodiesel.
Do you work on bespoke landscaping projects?
Yes, we do. We offer commercial gardening services to companies of all shapes, sizes and industries. We’ve worked with clients as contractors on public open spaces, schools, sports ground maintenance and housing developers.
What are the benefits of soft landscaping?
There are many benefits to soft landscaping, including:
Improved curb appeal: Soft landscaping can significantly improve the curb appeal of your home or business. Well-designed and well-maintained plantings can make a big difference in how others perceive your property.
Increased property value: In addition to improving curb appeal, soft landscaping can also increase the value of your property.
Enhanced outdoor living space: A well-landscaped garden can provide you with an enjoyable outdoor living space. Typically used for entertaining, relaxing, or simply spending time with family and friends.
Improved air quality: Plants help improve air quality by absorbing pollutants and releasing oxygen into the air, creating a healthier environment for both people and animals.
Reduced noise pollution: Plants can also help reduce noise pollution by absorbing sound waves, creating a more peaceful environment indoors and outdoors.
Improved mental health: Studies have shown that spending time in nature can improve mental health, including reducing stress levels, anxiety, and depression. Soft landscaping can provide you with an enjoyable outdoor space where you can reap these benefits.
What’s the difference between hard and soft landscaping?
Hard landscaping refers to using stone, brick, concrete, and wood to create an outdoor space. On the other hand, soft landscaping uses living plants to achieve the desired effect.
Both hard and soft landscaping have benefits and drawbacks, so choosing the right approach for your needs is essential.
Hard landscaping is often more durable and requires less maintenance than soft landscaping. However, it can be more expensive and may not provide the same level of aesthetic appeal.
Soft landscaping is usually more affordable and can provide a more natural look; however, it requires more care and upkeep. When designing your landscape, you will need to decide which approach is best for you.
